Diablo 4 would be the perfect game to play on Steam Deck

As of writing, there has been no news on whether the game will be playable on Steam Deck. In fact, the game’s official page gives no word on whether it will release on the console. It’s important to note that Diablo 3 isn’t officially supported on Steam Deck.

The game isn’t officially supported on the Steam Deck, but it does seem quite playable. Battle.net games mostly run great on the Steam Deck, with Diablo 2: Resurrected and Overwatch 2 both playing after using Proton.

How to install Diablo 4 and Battle.net on Steam Deck

By grabbing the official Battle.net installer from Blizzard’s website, you can add it to Steam as a non-Steam game and run it under Proton. Any future installs will also follow the same instructions.

Which version of Proton for Diablo 4?

Your best chance of getting the game’s beta to run before launch is GE-Proton 7.51-Beta. Any other version doesn’t seem to be working right now. When the game launches later this year, this beta version of Proton should be integrated into the main build.

Diablo 4 will release on June 6, 2023, and be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows.
